| What's up! I'd like to point you in the direction of my new Conspiracy Blog entitled "White Kids Eat Free" which will be located HERE . The subject matter in this blog deals primarily with racial bias and political corruption with a little political conpiracy mixed in for taste. After two years of mulling over the direction of this website, I've decided to put more focus on writing articles and adding more content. And with so many articles to write, I thought that it would be best to separate Sports Betting from Conspiracy and Corruption (even though they are really one in the same). If you are familiar with my writing style you can expect each article to be written in the same sarcastic tone...and you can also expect to be served with some "Outside of the Box Thinking" that reeks of General Skepticism . Articles in this particluar blog are very special because they cover a wide range of topics. You might just see anything here with topics ranging from the Moon Hoax to Election of Predident Barack Obama. This blog is created in addition to my sports betting blog which appears on the home page of www.pointshavers.com. Be on the lookout for my first few blog entries coming up in the next week or so. |

Why Race Plays a Factor in the Vick Case

| Commissioner Goodell appears ready to suspend Michael Vick for the entire 2007 regular season. It comes as no surprise though given that Goodell quickly established himself as a disciplinarian as soon as he got keys to the building. But, I think Commissioner Goodell has really backed himself into a corner here. He has to be heavy handed with every single player (white or black) who has any run-ins with the law. And in order to be fair, Goodell has to suspend even more players who have problems with police - even if the players are not guilty. But here's the problem though...black people have more run-ins with the law than white people because the police are here to protect white people...not black people. Just ask your average black person how many times he has been arrested or questioned by police. I think the average answer is probably like 10 to 20 times over the course of a lifetime. And that's just the average black person that works a normal job and stays out of trouble...not your NFL superstar. If you need to be educated, go to Blockbuster and watch some Dave Chapelle standup. But, the bigger problem is that most professional sports leagues in this country are predominantly black. And chances are that every single black player will find himself in some type of situation with police. So, if Goodell keeps going after troubled players and the media keeps taking it to the front page, we could see the slow extinction of the black male superstar. Is this intended? I hope not. But that's why race has to be considered in this particular matter. Goodell's gotta slow this down. I mean...Vick may be guilty...but we've gotta have due process for the black race before we throw everybody out to the dogs. No pun intended. The bigger problem is that athletes (both white and black) are nuts. They've been getting away with all sorts of things since they were in little league. So just about every athelete (both white and black) has done some dirt. There is no question about that. And whether it's a date rape or a gang-bang at the frat house...football players are off the chain like that. The problem is that black folks who are Ridin' Dirty are gonna get caught more than the white folks because black folks are always getting hassled. So you're gonna have more white players getting off and more black players getting convicted. That's the way our system works. But I'm not making excuses for anyone. I'm just saying that EVERYBODY has some dirt man. That's all. |
